My car is in the shop and I have been stuck home for days. My parents suggested taking my kids and I to Duffy's for lunch. We couldn't all fit in 1 car so my dad had to make 2 trips. My mom and son waited at Duffy's for us. When we arrived they were still in the waiting area and told me the hostess would not seat them till we all arrived. I asked her why since it was 1pm and the lunch rush was over and there were plenty of available tables. She copped a MAJOR attitude, was extremely rude and asked if we still wanted the table or not. This was a middle aged woman, not a young kid, I was pretty surprised. I has 3 kids with me, 2 are teenagers and taller than me, the youngest is 8. Looking right at them she asked if I had any kids with me (uh, yeah), then asked how many of them want children's menus (really?). Our waitress was very nice and the food came out fast. For an appetizer we got wings, I didn't try them but everyone said they were good. Most of us ordered from the lunch special menu. I shared with my mom and got 1/2 a tarragon chicken salad sandwich, 1/2 a turkey Ruben and a Napa Valley side salad. I never had the Napa Valley salad and I really enjoyed it, it had a nice mix of greens, goat cheese, dried cranberries and candied pecans (yum) and came with a lite raspberry vinaigrette. The chicken salad had nice big chunks of white meat chicken, and the tarragon added an interesting flavor, I usually just add dill so this was something I will have to try at home. My son got the chicken mac and cheese, it was rich and creamy, needed a little salt, but was really pretty good. My dad got a bowl of chili, I usually get this, I like it a lot. The incident with the hostess was bothering me. The manager Fernando was very nice when I spoke to him and he put $20 on to my MVP card which was a very nice gesture. To be honest I would have gone back anyway. Now, I will probably go back this weekend. It is close to my house, and between the lunch specials and the MVP points you earn to get $ towards a future meal it really is a good deal. Plus, in general the food is pretty good too.

Made the unfortunate hindsight decision to dine here for lunch today and things collapsed form the start. After getting seated with a table of 5 and two kids, we were ignored for 15 minutes. Our food order never got put in and there was little regret from our server. The manager was ok but nothing was comped and the food quality was bad. My club consisted of pressed meat and stale bread. I will never return to this establishment. Consider this review a warning.

Just an extra special compliment about a waiter named Ryan who handled a post-library lecture get together, a party of 10 including requests for separate checks, extra this and that and our group included a couple in their 90's that would have turned any wait staff gray. This guy Ryan was simply incredible and patient handling everyone. He deserves a medal ! As to the food, I enjoyed the Chinese chopped salad with chicken and iced tea. Dee lish. Always dependable Duffys but this guy Ryan..,,absolutely incredible. Thank you Thank you

We went with a group of 8 on a Monday night. It was packed! We were seated in a rear room which gave us some privacy and allowed the kids to run around without disturbing any one else. The restaurant is very loud-which was fine for us. Our in laws like this place because they get points on their frequent diner card. Food was good-I had the shrimp scampi and everyone else enjoyed their meals. Service was fine too. Nothing spectacular but we enjoyed our meal.

Please note, this 5-star review is for a staff interaction. I met up with a couple of friends at this location and was helped by the waitress in the bar area, Dashanne H. She was the best example of customer service with her positive demeanor and intuitive guest relations skills - if anyone from management reads this, please give her a high-five! Honestly, if I ever go back to this Duffy's location, I want to be in HER section. :)

It's been a while since I ate here but I never posted the reason as to why. Watching the server eat fries from a customers plate and offer it up to each other employee she passed by really tells you to steer clear of a place.

I was very disappointed with this duffys because my husband and I been to many of them and I have to tell you unfortunately this one has been the worst. I have to admit though the service was awesome and everybody was really friend but the food was fair. I ordered the margarita flatbread and I couldn't swallow it. Something was old or expired on the ingredients it was either the sauce or the cheese. And Jesus Christ THE SMELL OF THE CARPET !!! It made me nauseous specially back there around the bathrooms . Please corporate needs to take care of that smell I'm sure people don't wanna eat with such a thing.

I have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed my meal. It is what it is. It's not fine dining but it is a good sports bar with a lot of menu items and seemingly drink specials all day and night. Friendly servers too. Lots of TVs. A bar scene too. On my last visit, I had a really good yellow fin tuna taco and really good chowder. I find this place to be a great lunch alternative to the bagel and diner type places in the area and definitely a step above chains like Applebee (at least the Applebees down here).

We went there for lunch, our entrées arrived 45 minutes after we got there. What was worse is that the poor Mahi-Mahi had to give its life only to be tortured and burned beyond recognition by this restaurant.

Waited over an hour when we were finally seated it was in the middle of a walkway the food was disgusting and the beer was warm. The restroom was very unclean and the waiter couldnt be bothered from her cell phone. Dont ever go here!

My wife and I went here for lunch on a rainy spring afternoon. The decor was drab and outdated.... The food was uninspired and lacking taste.... The service was adequate but not great. Overall I don't think we will be going back.

I loved Duffy's the first 2 times I ate there but today I had a different opinion. When I entered the restaurant I was hit with a mildew smell that smelled like urine. Not a very appetizing thing to walk into. Why on earth would a restaurant have carpet? I can imagine how many things spilled on the rugs. Yuck. Ok now for the food....I wanted to take advantage of the 40% off menu offer so I ordered the sirloin steak (6 oz. ) it was a flat, tasteless under seasoned piece of meat. It also had a weird taste, or I was just grossed out with the smell? Not a a good day at Duffy's. the husband had chicken tenders and thought they were bland as well. Where were the chefs today? Not at the boynton beach location for sure. Maybe they should look into changing their cleaning rags and use something like Method that smells good and fresh. It certainly was a busy day there as usually, but that dank smell really turned me off.

A disappointment. The service is very slow. The kitchen is always backed up. The parking is terrible. We won't be back.

45 minute wait for table. newbie server who needs training. long wait for drinks, no water. I ordered caesar salad and chili. Sparse romaine leaves cut from bottom of head. Chili loaded with raw, sharp tasting onions. Fried calamari appetizer over- cooked. My husband had wing/rib combo. Ribs OK. Four wing sections, three from flat side and cooked to death. We waited over an hour for these delights. Finally brought by manager who said kitchen was overwhelmed and so were we.

Very crowded for Tuesday, but most people cleared out by 9pm. Good solid sports bar and sports bar food. The mozzarella sticks were beer battered, but only served five to an order. They were still unusual, but a distant 2nd to dominics. Nothing wrong with my $9.99 philly either. They used shaved Ribeye and onions and mushrooms and cheese was melted on top for a bit of a twist. Onion rings were battered well and two for one drinks on certain things (lots of fine print on this special). Two glasses of wine were $8 total. TV situation is very good with two giant screens in main room. Nice place, but go after crowds leave.

Another great experience at Duffy´s!!!! This place has exceptional service and the food is fantastic! !! The manager, Fernando, is far and above, THE BEST!!!! Amber, our waitress was fabulous! !!! If I could give 100 stars I would! !!! Thanks again to management and staff of Duffys!!!!!!

We have given this Duffy's plenty of opportunities to show us they can step up to the plate ..... They fail every time .... You can stand at the host stand and like 4 employees will be taking and will never know your standing there .... Tables are always dirty and so are the walls when your sitting in a booth .... You'll never see a manager ... The Food is the worst 3 out of 4 times the food comes out cold if it's supposed to be hot .. 2 of us ordered salads the other night and the food took over 30 mins to come out of the kitchen ( IT WAS A SALAD !! ) drinks took about 12-15 mins ( glass of wine ) .... Servers never come back to check on you .. we have only had ok service 1 time ....

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable all the food I tasted was mediocre. Had salmon and got sick. Ordered a med-well burger and it came well done. Fries over cooked great place to sit with friends and watch a game

Great place for a late lunch early dinner, food is always hot and fresh, recommend dolfin fingers to start, with asian chicken on a bed of noodles with house salad. Little touch of ginger spice, cooked to perfection. Always include a glass of pinot, or water with a lemon twist. Excellent.

2.75 A step above cafeteria food but not by much. Duffy's is Ale House with more marketing dollars. I'm willing to be almost everything there is previously frozen. It's consistent for sure and when watching a football game I can't think of many places that might be better. You know what you're getting when you come here. The menus are stacked and the drinking specials are very pocket friendly. So whether you're drunk, high or lonely this place might be your match. Wings are solid. Burgers are what you'd expect and the "upper scale" items like the blackened mahi mahi is the best you'll find on the menu. There really isn't anything wrong with Duffy's when you put it in perspective. But if you don't, well there there could be a laundry list of things you'd criticize.

New menu items are great. The right server makes a difference. Happy hour starts at 11:30 AM. Friday lunch at DUFFYS!

Great food and drink specials (2 for 1 drinks, all the time!) and surprisingly good food. I didn't expect much on my first visit- thought it would be typical sports bar fare- but I was, and have been really pleased with the food. Been back a ton of times and it's always good and the service is fast and friendly. Ambiance- it's a sports bar...lots of tv's and always crowded- but clean. Try the ribs (Thurs. special), the mahi, the potato skins and wings.

This is a sports bar & restaurant. It's nothing special, but the food is decent and has great drink specials. They have a great rewards program that is worth joining if you come here. For Sunday football, they have all of the TV's marked with the game they will be showing beforehand so if you get here early enough you can pick the perfect seat to see your game.

Had an artery-clogging Reuben burger that tasted quite wonderful. Overall a very clean and decent joint. It gets 3-1/2 stars from me.

August 10th , ate lunch at Duffy's sports grill. I had a rodeo hamburger came with onion rings and coleslaw the food tasted good the service was good. I Was surprised the sound wasn't to loud with all the Olympics playing on the flat screens The place was pretty full by the time we left at 1pm. I would like to try Duffy's during the week when they have the daily specials. I'll be back

I typically enjoy the arugula and steak salad at any Duffy's location, so I wouldn't have any issues with the food. However, this location has some sort of a mildew problem. It either smelled like old, unwashed rags or the carpeting needs cleaning. The same stench was throughout the restaurant, it made for awful eating.

    (1)
  • Mark B.

Recently ate here on a Monday, it was very crowded. after a 40 minute wait was finally seated. We ordered the Ribs and wings. The ribs were decent, not the greatest, but decent and the wings tasted very good.

    (3)
  • Enrique C.

Staff eager to please. So far......... Their wings could have used some more cooking. I will not be back for a little while. I believe the wings may have gotten me & my friends sick. Service was great.

The best thing about Duffy's? They are CONSISTENT! I've been to several and your staple bar foods, burgers, wings, sandwiches etc., are consistently good. This particular location has a good staff and correct mistakes or complaints quickly. Trivia on Friday nights is a blast and a nice way to spend the night. Also, this location always has the UFC fights on for free as long as you are eating or drinking. Happy hour special is very good and if you order a bottled beer, they bring your second one in a tumbler on ice so it doesn't get warm while you enjoy your first.

Duffy's is your typical sports bar and on the night we went all the servers and hostess were wearing quirky sports getups from football jerseys to cheer-leading uniforms. There was quite a wait, but I guess that's what you get if you go out for dinner at a sports bar on a Sunday Night during football season... Food was pretty OK but nothing was stellar except for the perogie appetizers. I'd get those again for sure. I'm not gonna mention everything we got, but here are the highlights. The side salad was huge and pretty good filled with crunchy veggies and croutons, but for some reason they ruined it by dumping cheddar cheese all over it. I sent it back and it was much better with the cheese removed. Fries were pretty good but battered, burgers were huge, mahi mahi was overcooked. I was not impressed with the service, our waiter was a bit of a dummy. He forgot orders and brought out the wrong food, but he was friendly and did his best to correct the situation. At least he was better then the waitress at the table behind us who was speaking to an older couple like they were a couple of toddlers in a loud over-exaggerated voice. Waitress: "Well, hellllllo there. It's so nice to see you. Tickle, tickle, tickle. Are you hungry tonight??" The tickle part is extra, but it was ridiculous. We all thought she was talking to a baby before we looked.

The carpet interior definitely isn't the most ideal for a restaurant setting, and it dies have a certain smell because of it. I could see how that would turn most people's appetites off. However, after getting past it and sitting down, it was honestly one of my best Duffy's experiences I've ever had. Great food that came quicker than you'd believe, and amazing service. If it wasnt for that initial smell, it'd be 5 stars easily.

We love the food at Duffy's! But we can't always eat in with 2 young kiddos. We order take-out OFTEN and they've never ever, not once gotten the order correct. We don't order anything special, no substitutions, etc but they can not seem to get our order right. It's so frustrating because we loved the food, but got tired of paying for the wrong order.

    (3)
  • Ronni K.

Possibly the worst food and service in the area. I will never ever go back.

    (1)
  • Bernadette F.

The best hamburgers par none! Great Cob salad also. The only non-great thing about Duffy's is the 2 for 1 drinks. I ordered a Stoli Cosmo and it did not taste like Stoli (and the waiter argued that he saw the bartender pour it) and it was so weak...must have been 1/2 shot. So don't order drinks! All the food so far was great.

The all around best sports bar in town. The marketing strategies are fantastic. Even though it's a dolphins territory, other teams are welcome there ;) They have the menu consisting of burgers, pasta dishes, and different appetizers to choose from. Let's not forget about the yummy drinks that are hard to choose from as well. They offer a card that you can earn points on and it converts over to rewards when they build up. Some of the perks of having a card is that you can get double points on Tuesdays, 40% off the menu 2-4 p.m., and 25 bucks during the month of your birthday (must visit 12 times a year). The card has different levels depending on how often you go. The staff is super friendly and it's very reasonable.

Serviceable bar food. We sat out on their new "patio" but that's more of a seat-yourself affair and the waitress, while very sweet, seems to have been going to Ringling Brothers for make-up lessons. It was a bit Joan Crawfordesque. My jerk chicken was more of a wise-guy than a full on jerk, not too hot to keep the septuagenarians out of Bethesda hospital up the street which isn't open yet. Won't kill you. Won't make you want to come back, but slightly better than restaurants that cater to lobotomy patients.

Love this place! Love the curry Thai chicken with jasmine rice! Great service too! Friday nights very fun! Trivia night!

Went to Duffy's on a Monday night. Ordered 2 rack of ribs that came out 35 minutes later and they were cold. The ribs were sent back out and when they came out the second time, I requested a bowl for the bones. "No problem" said the waitress. 12 minutes later, I had to request a manager to get the bowl. Drinks are listed as 2 for 1 all day. A Crown Royal on the rocks (a measured shot) was $12.95. This place is a joke.

Visited on Saturday, 07/06/2013. First of all, I ordered a green apple martini which was very strong and was supposed to be 2 for 1. Watch out, there are no prices on the bar menu and the 2 for 1 deal was $12.00 and that is no deal. Could't finish the second drink because it was so strong. I had the crab cakes which tasted good going down but I woke up at 4am and have been sick all morning. I will never go there again.

We recently visited Duffy's for the second time. This visit revealed that they have made vast improvements with their newly (over a year ago) revised menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the Philly Cheese Steak - Shaved Rib Eye & Mushroom Swiss Burger. Being hungry, we started with an order of Korean Beef Mini Tacos and they were very tasty. The food was fresh, delicious, plentiful and eye appealing. The service was prompt, courteous and very friendly. Pricing is very reasonable. The atmosphere is causal upscale. I would recommend Duffy's!

Unknowingly went there on a 2/1 drink night during game 1 of the Miami heat playoff. Needless to crowded & noisy which was no problem .. Service was a little slow as appetizers were slow to get to the table, but were worth the wait. The 12 wings were crisp & well done , in 3 types. Garlic Asian & hot all very good. Potato skins as well were delicious .. My 2 friends ordered cheeseburgers & a hangover burger and said they were great & cooked to their liking. I ordered the tuna burger which was completely TASTELESS. If it wasn't for the wasabi mayo I wouldn't t have tasted the difference Fromm the burger or the roll ..DEFINATELY not a good burger

I am a huge fan of Duffy's. Wont waste my time with another sports bar. I am currently hooked on their tuna burger, but all there food is great. Nice selection on the menu, and 2 for 1 drinks.

This is really becoming a restaurant of last resort. It used to be that when nothing else was open or near you would wind up at a Dennys. Duffys is really becoming the Dennys of Boynton. Tried lunch today and was really unimpressed. This seem to be more like a business plan than a food service. Food is uninspired and tends to the greasy. The most impressive factor is that the staff is unfailingly polite and pleasant dispite a very crowded room.

I love Duffy's! Great wings, burgers, and yes ribs. Menu is diverse so there is something for everyone. They also have a rewards card that yo can earn money via a points system. And don't forget 2 for 1 drinks!

I have a love/hate relationship with this Duffy's location. The food is pretty good for sports bar fare, they've got good drink specials, and it's close to home. The wait staff is also usually good. Unfortunately, the location combined with the savings offered with the Duffy's MVP card seems to attract every retiree in a 10 mile radius. As a result, it's often very crowded, at least until after 8:30 or so.

I had the ribs at duffys about 2 years ago and was bedridden for 3 days, if I'd not been young and in good shape I think it could have been fatal, honestly. I used to really like this place.

Service is hit or miss. Sometimes you get really good service and other times, not so much. Food is good for the price

    (3)
  • Michael M.

food is average, but well priced. Service is hit or miss. Very young staff, some do not know what they are doing, and need to learn the menu better. Older crowd at this location most of the time. bartenders are good, but pour light. 2 for 1 drink specials are bonus though. trivia night is fun, I thinks it's on Friday at 8:30.
